Play + Connect Activity

This game is a play on mirrors and shadows. Players should partner up. One player should be the mirror for the first round. This player must stand facing their partner and do everything their partner does, but in reverse. Example: If a partner raises their left arm, the player must raise their right arm. For the next round, one player should be the shadow. This player must stand behind their partner and do everything their partner does.

Breathing Exercise Options:

Belly Breathing

5 belly breaths with mouth closed and hands on belly. Goal is to get students to breathe through nose and use their diaphragm. There should be very little movement of the chest and the belly should move in and out. Can do several rounds of this activity.

Accordion Breathing

5 belly breaths with mouth closed and hands on sides of lower ribs. Goal is to get students to breathe through nose and use their diaphragm. There should be very little movement of the chest and the students should feel movement outward on the inhale. Can do several rounds of this activity.

Learn + Grow Activity

While doing the movements the leader and mirror count to a certain number say the alphabet or some other list. You can have them alternate numbers or letters so they each get a turn.
