Rotation Eight

Game 1 -  Human Knot

Number of Players: 10 or more

Explanation

It is always fun to watch our older players work together to solve a problem. This game is geared towards helping players work together and problem solve, while at the same time, have fun! There are so many variations to the game. You know your players best – add in or change it up!

Rules

Players should form groups of 6-8 people (or form one large circle). Each player crosses their arms at their wrists and holds hands with two other players.

Now, with everyone holding hands, players must work together to untangle the knot without letting go of anyone's hands.

Once players have untangled themselves and are still holding hands, they should attempt to sit down and then stand back up as a group.

If playing in small groups, the leader may challenge groups to race against each other by seeing who can untangle themselves, sit down, and then stand back up the fastest.

Game 2 -  Word Scramble Game

Number of Players: 10 or more

Rules

This game will test players' word recall and spelling skills. Prepare for this game by writing at least six words on some cardboard (leaving a space between the letters). Cut out each letter, mix them up, and then create word piles.

Players should divide into 2 teams. Each team gets three word piles. When the leader says, "go!" each team must arrange the letters to form three words. The first team to get all three words correct wins.

Game 3 -  Catch, Don’t Catch

Number of Players: 8 or more

Rules

Players should form a circle with one person in the middle. The player in the middle starts the game by holding the ball.

If the middle player says, "catch!" and then throws the ball to a player in the circle, that player should catch the ball. If they drop the ball, they are out.

If the middle player throws the ball to a player in the circle without saying "catch," this player should not catch the ball. If they do, they are out.

Play catch until there is only one player remaining from the circle.

Breathing – Hand on chest and stomach. Feel the pressure on the lower hand.

Rhythm – Clapping and add a movement between claps
