Rotation Ten

Game 1 -  Group Juggle Challenge

Rules

Players should form a circle. As leader, find an object and put it in the center of the circle.  Players must pass or toss the object around the circle for a minute, or until everyone has held the object. The group should then create a goal for the next round, using the same object. Example: Increasing speed, accuracy, taking turns, etc.)  More or different objects can be added to the circle to increase the challenge. This is a good game to practice realistic goal setting.

Game 2 -  Ten Down Variety

Rules

This is a game of strategy. The objective is to avoid being the player standing next to the person who says 10. Each player can say one or two numbers.  Players should stand in a circle. The first player begins by counting to 1 or 2. The next player picks up where the first player left off. Example: If player one says, "1, 2," (a 'double') the next player starts with 3. This player can choose to say "3, 4" (another 'double') or just 3. Continue this around the circle.  The player standing next to the person who says 10 is out. This means players must be strategic about counting either by ones or doubles.

Game 3 -  Get the Point

Number of Players: 6 or more

Rules

All players should stand in a circle.

As leader, tell the players to raise their right hand, palm up.

Next, players should put their pointer finger of their left hand in the palm of the person to their left.

When the leader says, "Go!" players must try to catch their neighbor's finger in their right palm without letting their left finger get caught.

Try this activity a few times and then switch hands. Then switch positions in the circle.
